Echo Beach - Van Der Kill
Van Der Kill have covered 'Echo Beach'& created a moody atmospheric masterpiece. Originally recorded by Martha & The Muffins in 1980, the inspiration for the track was Sunnyside Beach on the shoreline of Lake Ontario in Toronto. But Echo Beach isn't actually a real location, it's 'a symbol of a place everyone wants to escape to when they're not where they want to be, so it could be Echo Bed....Echo Bar....Echo Shops...

XTC - Senses Working Overtime
Hailing from Swindon, XTC hit the London music scene in 1977 when anarchy & hair spikes ruled the world. Led by Andy Partridge they became one of the leaders of the 'power pop movement' having hits on both sides of the Atlantic. 'Senses Working Overtime' was released in 1982 & surely ripe for a cover so listen & be thankful you don't have that haircut anymore & have learnt that puff-ball skirts & turtlenecks is so not a good look.

Scottish supergroup Texas are back with their first single in three years. 'Getaway' is taken from the bands forthcoming studio album 'Red Book' which is released on October 31st . Spiteri's distinctive voice sings out over melodic pop-riffs which harmonizes that familiar Texas sound.

Heather Small/Peter Vettese - Proud
